Post - Surgery

<< Back

Overnight stay at the clinic is required after surgery. While bed resting during recovery, it is advisable to frequently move the ankles by flexing the calf muscles. It is also recommended to stand up and walk from the very first day after the surgery. Pain is not particularly severe and will be mainly felt during the first night after the operation. It can be easily managed through routine analgesic drugs (painkillers). During the first 48 post - surgery hours you must recover mostly lying in bed with the head slightly upward (on a large pillow). Edemas or ecchymoses can appear at the intervention area during the first two days. Hematomas, infections, cheloid cicatrices or temporary facial nerve lesions could occur but these are very rare. During your clinic and home recovery, it is advisable to put ice sacs on the intervention areas to accelerate the disappearance of edemas and hematomas. Starting from the third post - surgery day, you can resume your normal everyday life but must avoid strains, saunas, Turkish baths and direct exposure to sun. In the beginning, the face will appear swollen but edemas will gradually disappear in 2 - 3 weeks. From the third week you can gradually resume all your normal everyday activities, including sports. The outcomes, visible from 20 - 30 days, will reach their final shape 4 - 6 months after surgery. During the post - surgery recovery, it is recommended to give up smoking, or at least reduce it as much as possible, because smoking can increase complication risks or delay healing. According to KEIT® protocols, the first wound treatment is performed 2 - 4 days after the surgery and then after each 3 - 5 days. Suture threads are removed after 7 - 14 days. Treatments and check - ups by the KEIT® surgeon depend on the applied surgical technique and individual body reaction. Such service will be ALWAYS FREE OF CHARGE.
Appropriate planning of such an important decision, such as your aesthetic surgery, consists in minimizing complication risks which are very rare (less than 1%) and duly treated and resolved in full competency by our staff surgeons and anesthesiologists. The face lifting outcomes are usually very satisfactory and long - lasting, but you must keep in mind that such outcomes are not everlasting due to the inevitable effects of gravity and aging.
KEIT® aesthetic surgeons will be extremely careful in preserving the aesthetic harmony of the face and therefore will not recommend exaggerated skin lifting, which is not appropriate to the anatomical - aesthetical human concepts. Our staff members bring a multi - decennial experience and special guarantees as to the achievement of the highest European standards. The priority of face lifting is the “as natural as possible” and long - lasting outcome. Each individual person has different physical and tissue features thus outcomes of each surgery are different as well.
